Secretary’s Report:
Motion to approve the May minutes was made by Amy and seconded by Roger.
Treasurer’s Report:
Sandy provided a Treasurer’s Report for May 15 through June 11, 2007. Accounts receivable balance is $1,005.29; checking account of $8498.54; savings of $8477.80 and CD value of $10,587.57.
Gambling Manager’s Report:
Ø Gross receipts for May 2007 were $47,060
Ø Gross profit was $6,594
A paper shredder will be purchased and donated for the Two Harbors High School. We will be looking into purchasing a pull tab machine to be placed at Blackwood’s.
Arena Manager’s Report:
The lighting will be complete in approximately two weeks.
All demolition and dirt work is completed for the weight room. Thank you to those involved in this project, including Al Svir, Bobby Lancore, Jason Kettle, Dan Cavallin and Dale Torgerson. Also to Lake County for the dirt.
The handicap ramp is installed.
The snack shack sink is installed.
Nets have been re-strung.
Jesse is working on a number of other projects he hopes to complete by the end of summer.
Tournament Director’s Report: No report.
Concession Stand Update: No report.
Old Business:
Ø 501C3 status - no report.
Ø The Association will purchase black breezers for the Bantams. Roger will also check on breezer covers; he will talk to Dave Stanko with regard to the breezer sizes we have.
Ø Amy will draft a sponsorship letter to local businesses.
Ø Roger will send the proposed letter to the parents of the upcoming Bantams.
New Business:
Ø We are looking for a contact person and a coach for girls’ hockey.
Ø We will be sponsoring three of the City’s movie nights. This is an opportunity to complete your volunteer hours for last season.
Ø Sherry needs a list of flower and cookie sellers; Amy will get the register of players to her.
Ø We will once again have a float in the Heritage Days Parade and ask to be at the start of the parade.
