Coaches to wear helmets this year
The Minnesota Hockey Board of Director voted to require that all coaches wear helmets for all on-ice activities for the upcoming 06-07 hockey season. Hal Tearse, Chair of the Safety Committee and Minnesota Hockey Coach-in-Chief, gave a Safety Committee presentation on the need for coaches to wear helmets. After lengthy and detailed discussion by the Board the proposal was passed on a vote of 25-2.
