REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATION

STEPS NEEDED TO COMPLETE YOUR COACH REQUIREMENTS AND TRAINING



1. Register with USA Hockey.
2. Complete SafeSport Training.
3. Complete Background Screening.
4. Complete Coaching Education Education Program class (CEP).
5. Complete Age Specific Coaching Module.

Register with USA Hockey - This needs to be completed every year. Be sure to use your same login information as in previous years. Forward your USA Hockey confirmation number to the Registration Coordinator.

Complete SafeSport Training - This needs to be completed every year

Complete Background Screening - These are good for 2 seasons.

Complete your Coaching Education Program (CEP) - Levels 1 through 3 are valid for one season. Level 4 is valid for three seasons. Level 4 coaches need to take 5 credits of continuing education to advance the expiration to the next 3 year cycle. CEP clinics must be completed by December 15th of each year.

Complete Age-Specific Coaching Module - This needs to be competed one time per age classification.

Mites - 8&Under

Squirt/Peewee/10U/12U - 12&Under

Bantam - 13&Over

All classes and requirements are reimbursable through THYH. Use this form to claim reimbursement for coaching classes, USA Hockey registration and/or background screening. Be sure to attach any receipts and class completion confirmation(s) to your claim. The completed and signed claim with documentation can be returned to the arena office.
